Montague Estate Dextra Merlot Cabernet Franc Petit Verdot 2022

There’s a bit of Bordeaux Right Bank in the blend here. All indications are that this is going to develop into a beautiful wine. It’s already showing heaps of promise. Lifted red and black fruit aromatics with some nice dusty tobacco leaf characters. The palate is medium bodied but with plenty of intensity and power. Sinewy tannins and decent hit of cedary oak play their roles while the fruit just keeps powering ahead.
