The Credaro family settled in Margaret River in 1922 and made some of the earliest wines in the region. Initially, small plots of vines were planted to provide the family with table wine, although some was sold to locals in the area, especially at the regular dances. Commercial vines followed in the 1980s and 1990s and today the family owns and manages 160 hectares in the subregions of Carbunup, Treeton, Wilyabrup, Yallingup, Witchcliffe and Metricup. The recent addition of the 1000 Crowns range has added a super-premium tier to the range.
