Dream Bird is a new label created by winemaker Kym Carr as a tribute to her late younger sister Pip, known affectionately by the family as Birdie. The Birdie range under the Dream Bid label, captures much of this through the names, the styles and the winemaking approach that has created a distinctive individual range of wines. The wines are serious stuff, but the labels are fun, capturing much of what I suspect is the spirit of her younger sister. The fruit is sourced from specific well-chosen vineyards in Margaret River and Geographe, which ensures a diversity of variety and style.
