Juniper Cornerstone Karridale Chardonnay 2022

A product of a warm vintage, but the advantage is that the fruit comes from further south in the cooler climes of Karridale. It’s a barrel selection wine after wild yeast fermentation and ageing in oak for 10 months. Shows a nice combination of lightly toasty oak, lemon and quince paste with a backdrop of richer stone fruit. The palate is fine and quite delicate reflecting its regional sourcing. Long and fine with a chalky acidity giving a crunchy lift on the finish.
