Sandalford 1840 Swan Valley Shiraz 2022

The aim of this wine when it was introduced a few years ago, was to capture the essence of place in the Swan Valley. This is as good as any and certainly speaks to its site and the old vines planted back in the 60s. A pretty fundamental approach with natural yeasts and open fermentation before maturation in seasoned French oak. Has that distinctive soft and malleable texture of the Swan with dusty earthy plummy fruits that roll across the palate and through to an effortlessly long finish
