Ashbrook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

This is cabernet from some of the older vines in the region, with the addition of small amounts of petit verdot, cabernet franc and merlot. It’s a most stylish wine from a vintage that tended to produce wines of a more linear framework. Lifted notes of bay leaf and black olive float across the typical blackcurrant and a little oyster shell minerality. The palate is medium weight with good fruit concentration held with fine tannins and a little French oak.
