Voyager Estate Syrah 2023

This is quite beautiful. Almost pretty. About 40% whole bunches have been used in the press and then reassembled and destemmed. It started being picked a little early and this has clearly contributed to its brilliance and radiance. Fermented quite warm and worked pretty hard before pressing to puncheons with just 5% new oak. It was effectively made like pinot noir. The colour is a feature. It’s almost delicate but the fruit intensity is superb. Delightfully perfumed with exotic highly scented florals. A defining wine from Voyager.
