Montague Estate Viribus Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

A firm and still quite tight cabernet, which has the breeding and essential pieces to handle extended cellaring. A graphite seashell minerality tends to dominate with a bay leaf addition on the nose. Not excessive, but at the moment it provides the delightful aromatics. The palate is still tightly wound with a firm core of oak and tannin clutching feverishly at the fruit, holding it close through to a long finish. Very promising.
